Hello! Welcome to a place where you can be inspired! My name is Misty Dixon, and I am an artist, a makeup artist, and a teacher of art. I also work part time for several authors coordinating social media, and am an Independent Scentsy Consultant. In my downtime, I am plotting my first novel and taking care of my two children and husband. I feel exhausted just saying all of that. I live in the Northshore area of southeast Louisiana, about 30 miles north of fabulous New Orleans. Much of my art is influenced by the time I spent living in New Orleans, very close to the French Quarter. As I have gotten older and have become a mother of 2, I have discovered a new found love for children's art. I still paint things that move me as an adult, but I have spent a lot of time lately painting with my kids in mind. I love to paint murals in children's rooms, and canvases for them as well. I have spent many nights painting little characters for unsuspecting children as gifts, and have found much satisfaction and fulfillment in this type of art at this stage in my life. I love working with people of all ages, and am thrilled when someone comes to me with a vision of their own that they want me to bring to life. There is no area of painting that I will not tackle with my whole heart. I have done everything from murals for businesses to monagram canvases for children and college students. I have created very large paintings to match living rooms, and very small canvases for kitchens and bathrooms. I love holiday themed paintings and paintings that match patterns in bedrooms. I want to bring art into everyone's home, and because of that I have a conviction to be affordable.
